Ru’ya Careers Fair 2025: Empowering Emiratis with Careers, Not Just Jobs

Today, thousands of young Emiratis gathered at the Dubai World Trade Centre for Ru’ya Careers Fair 2025. However, it is the largest recruitment and career development event in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Moreover, the fair showcased how Emiratisation is changing beyond numbers into meaningful and long-term career development with over 18 organizations from the public and private sectors. 

A Lifeline for Job Seekers

The fair is more than a recruitment drive for many job seekers. Ibrahim Almarzoqi, a 37-year-old UAE graduate, highlighted its value. He said, “Events like this make it easier to finally align my experience with my degree in administration after 11 years in another field”. The event showcases a wider effort to match the ambition of Emiratis with industries that demand new skills, like AI, fintech, aviation, and sustainability. 

From Jobs to Sustainable Careers

Employers highlighted that Emiratisation is about retention and growth. Moreover, Chalhoub Group is investing in training programs to ensure Emiratis excel across the retail sectors. Moreover, HSBC reported that 30 percent of its senior leadership in the UAE are Emiratis that the international training in London, New York, and Hong Kong supported. 

Emirates Airlines highlighted that it offers careers, not jobs, seeking pilots, engineers, and operations staff while motivating adaptability and entrepreneurial thinking. Similarly, the Dubai Police revealed openings for cadet pilots, data scientists, and AI-driven roles. Hence, it shapes the future of policing. 

Banking & Early Guidance

The gold sponsor of the event, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), revealed that 70 percent of its new hires are nationals of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). In addition, the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) highlighted that women are representing around three-quarters of its Emirati workplace. Moreover, the bank plans to hire 400 Emiratis in Al Ain by 2026, i.e, the next year. 

On the other hand, the Emirati Human Resources Development Council (EHRDC)  launched a platform to connect with the students as early as age 15 with internships. Scholarships and training opportunities.  

Ru’ya Careers Fair 2025: Empowering the Next Generation

Now, Ru’ya has entered into its 24th year. Moreover, the event has now grown into a national platform for the empowerment and career development.  Thus, now, the employers are offering jobs at the event. In addition, they are also creating the future-ready Emiratis to grow in the economy of the upcoming days.
