Dubai has introduced the formation of 2 new specialised committees, including the Dubai Film and Gaming Committees, focused on developing the film and gaming sectors in a landmark move to strengthen its position as a global hub for media innovation.
Moreover, the decision was made after resolutions issued by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council (DMC). The committees – the Dubai Film Development Committee and the Dubai Gaming Committee – are an important step toward growing Dubai’s creative economy and aligning with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
