UAE Announces Free Driving Licences in Sharjah for Top Students

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has revealed a new initiative to offer free driving licenses in Sharjah for the top-performing students. Moreover, it aimed at rewarding academic excellence and motivating students. The Free driving licences in Sharjah initiative will boost the morale among students, experts say.

With this, the Sharjah Police has also introduced a “License for the Children of Givers” initiative that further shows their commitment to supporting their community. Moreover, these initiatives highlight Sharjah’s dedication to encouraging education as well as social responsibility.

What is the ‘excellent license’ initiative?

It is one of the key initiatives in Sharjah that aims to give free driving licenses to the top-performing students in Sharjah. Moreover, opening the driving file, eye tests, training sessions, etc., are the costs that this special initiative will cover until receiving the final license. It is being conducted with the collaboration of Sharjah Private Education Authority, Sharjah Driving Institute, the Ministry of Education, and Belhasa Driving Institute.

Brigadier Khalid Mohammed Al Kay (Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at Sharjah Police) stated that they developed the initiative to help excellent students become more independent and responsible as they enter university life.

The program is expected to motivate students to excel in their academics and boost a sense of responsibility on the road. By giving free access to a professional driving license, Sharjah Police is ensuring that young drivers are ready to navigate the road safely in the UAE. Moreover, it also reflects the country’s commitment to youth development.

Who is eligible for the free driving licenses in Sharjah?

The free driving license program is designed for outstanding students who have showcased their academic skills. Moreover, the top 10 students from the government schools are eligible for this program. Further details about the eligibility and application process have not been publicly revealed yet.

Licence for the Children of Givers Initiative

In addition to the free driving licenses in Sharjah program, Sharjah police has launched the “License for the Children of Givers.” This program provides eligible people with a 50 percent discount on driving training fees. Remember, this initiative is valid throughout the summer holiday.

Moreover, it recognizes the sacrifice made by their parents in service to society. Besides extending this perk, Sharjah police are reinforcing the importance of community service and ensuring that the next generation is empowered with the opportunity.

Who can apply for the “License for the Children of Givers” initiative?

As we said before, this initiative aims to understand the sacrifices made by eligible candidates’ parents. Though the Free driving licences in Sharjah scheme qualify only the top 10 learners from the government schools in Sharjah. However, the “License for the Children for Givers” is only for children of police officers who have graduated.

The initiative suits other UAE efforts to support other groups. As we mentioned before, the program focuses on the children of those who have served the official community and who have graduated. Moreover, this initiative creates a chain reaction of positivity and support.

Aims of Sharjah with Free Driving License and License for the Children of Givers

We have already told you that both programs are aimed at supporting bright students to build their future. However, Brigadier Al Kay mentioned that these initiatives showed the strong connection between the government agencies and educational institutions. Remember, both of them are built with the collaboration of many official agencies and driving institutes.

Furthermore, Al Kay mentioned that these programs focus on building a culture of safe driving among the young generation. Moreover, to motivate a spirit of excellence and responsibility. In addition, he added, “they are an excellent example of the ways academic success can lead to precious rewards that open doors for the future.”
